Welcome

I've been playing guitars since I was around 14 (1980) or so, but I never "got good" at it....

Sure, I could play chords (open, E, and A shape bar chords) and sing while playing, but I never spent the time to "master" the fret board.

In 2018 I was running sound for my church and the bass player moved to a different church, so I started learning bass. Here are my notes on Here are my notes on Bass Guitar.

In 2019 I bought my Fender Stratocaster.

In 2022, someone else in the congregation said she played bass and wanted to join the band, so I decided it was time for me to move on to something new. We already had an acoustic guitar player, so I decided to learn more about lead guitar and started playing my Fender Stratocaster in the band. This was a HUGE change for me, since I haven't even tried to play "electric guitars" for 25-30 years!

I bought a Line 6 Pod Go multi effects processor and started my quest to "master" the fret board.

And there you have it. It's June, 2022, and these are my notes on resources for learning lead guitar.
